It describes itself "Community Care is the leading social care information provider - a must for all social care professionals. Championing the interests and values of social care, Community Care has helped shape social care policy through many changes over the years. Now, with the increased focus on the delivery of care in the UK, Community Care is once again committed to guiding and leading its readers through a time of momentous changes in the care arena." A quick tour through the site found a number of interesting articles and in particular the Legal Updates page produced a number of interesting cases. This is a good well run site that is worth keeping up to date with.

The Guardian

The Guardian encompasses the Observer site as well. Over the years many wonderful articles have been published in this newspaper, one of the only papers that seems interested in issues as well as news.

The Independent

A great newspaper which is full of stories on child abuse and good quality news. Their new Web Site with a great search engine was launched on 18th October 1999. It is very modern and attractive to view but is best on a 17" screen. This newspaper is the home of most of Roger Dobson's articles upon child abuse. He is a journalist who writes many sympathetic articles on the subject. Well worth a browse.

The Times

An excellent source of Law Reports. Although it does not have a word search facility there is a list of contents every day to enable you to look for an article you like - they also keep all back editions - you need to know what day the article appeared however
