Lee Teresa Moore is Former Chairman
Formerly a maritime and commercial barrister, Lee was the Founder / President of ACAL until she retired in 2006. Lee pioneered the first CPD accredited training for professionals working on historic abuse cases in the UK, at the University of Cambridge, Madingley Hall, in 1998.
Lee’s credentials for designing and delivering specialist training on abuse in childhood are informed from un-rivalled first-hand and professional experience. She is in the unique position of being able to offer teaching and insights which not only cover the victim’s/ survivor’s perspective, but the impact of working on traumatic cases upon professionals too.
In 2015 Lee contributed to advancing good practice guidance for legal and law enforcement professionals who work with vulnerable and traumatised witnesses, defendants and parties in The Advocates Gateway Toolkits 17 and 18.

Lee is committed to:
• providing adults who allege abused in childhood with access to professionals who know how to work effectively with client’s traumatic experiences
• enable professionals and admin staff to stay healthy when working with traumatised clients
• reduce the potential harm to all
Lee has created a programme for Self Mastery, which she delivers to professionals wishing to acquire the tools to deal effectively with any life challenge with courage, compassion and integrity.
