Tracey Emmott is Executive Officer and is responsible for Panel Membership.
Tracey Emmott was a partner in a regional firm until 2009 when she set up her own niche personal injury firm dedicated to representing survivors of sexual violence. She has an interest and expertise in representing survivors of church/religious abuse, and was the claimant’s solicitor in the landmark judgment case against the Catholic church ('JGE' v Roman Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth). She represents survivors of non recent abuse in schools, in children’s homes, in the Cadets and Scouts. She acted for siblings against a local authority for social work shortcomings where compensation awarded was the highest ever in such a case in the UK (ABB & others v Milton Keynes Council). She also specialises in abuse in the therapeutic context. With her team, she has secured successful outcomes for her clients against both individuals, estates and organisations.
Tracey recognises the value of civil claims not only in obtaining much deserved compensation but also in providing accountability, validation and opportunity for apology. Tracey is a Fellow of APIL, and is a Law Society Accredited Personal Injury Panel member.
