Emma Crowther
Emma Crowther works at Irwin Mitchell.
I am a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Newcastle office. I specialise in dealing with claims on behalf of people who have been abused in childhood and/or have been sexually assaulted.
I qualified as a solicitor in September 2011 after having spent two years dealing with various types of personal injury claims, including catastrophic brain injury cases, various types of industrial accidents and clinical negligence matters.
I am Trustee and Secretary of Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland. I am former winner of Rising Star of the Year (Young Lawyer) at the Northern Law Awards (2017) and in July 2019 I was named as Lawyer in the News following the settlement of the first UK cases against Uber in respect of 2 sexual assault cases.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
The most rewarding part of my job is being able to make a difference in people’s lives. Most clients who come to us have experienced tragic events, often with harrowing consequences. I feel privileged to be able to play a part in their lives in assisting them to seek justice.
